2023 Scholarship Application Form

The Harold G. Williams Jr. Scholarship Fund was established in order to honor our Pastor Emeritus, Harold G. Williams, and to provide a source of funds, which would be available for a scholarship to family members of Bedford Presbyterian Church who are presently or will be in the fall, full-time students enrolled in a college, trade school or graduate program. Special consideration may be given to a student in seminary or a student involved in mission work.

Completed applications must be submitted no later than Sunday, May 28, 2023.

This year two recipients will be awarded $500 each on Graduation Sunday, June 4, 2022, during the 10:00 AM worship service. The recipients of the scholarship will be notified by Friday, June 2.

Requirements for being awarded the Harold G. Williams Scholarship are as follows. The recipient must:

1) be a member of Bedford Presbyterian Church community; and
2) be attending or planning to attend college, trade school or graduate program in the coming fall. No academic or financial need restrictions are placed on this scholarship.

Each applicant will be considered according to his or her own merit, with confidentiality and discretion by the Deacon Scholarship Committee. However, a demonstrated commitment to Bedford Presbyterian Church and serving others is a subjective criterion. Past scholarship recipients may reapply as long as they meet the criteria.
